I think being able to take and hold paper losses for a long time is a big advantage of the rich over the regular investors. With crypto's volatility, the losses can be short term, or it can be permanent if it was a meme token. ETH, like BTC, can have long cycles so it can be a matter of waiting for the next time it goes up to sell, and waiting for the move down to buy.
