Job or Business?

Hi, what do you do? I mean, are you in a corporate job? Business? Or doing freelance jobs? The first two seem stable earnings, business has risks but the job sector seems to be a safer bet than the other. But the other two have more flow of money, businesses are good for building something that has a backup, but freelance work is a free flow of money, who knows when it gets stopped, depends on your skills of how long you can adapt with the changing world.

If you are placed with the three options then which one would you go with? For me, I would go with the freelance path and build a business slowly but steadily to back me up when needed. The ultimate priority would be to create a side hustle that would turn into a good business structure.

Why am I so fond of businesses? Am I good at this? Or does my family have businesses? None of these. Lemme tell you my thoughts on leaning towards the idea of having a business for the long term.

Corporate jobs are a good, safe bet, you get a paycheck for sure. But living paycheck to paycheck doesn’t have any significant growth. You save a certain amount of money if handled carefully. I am talking about the average scenario. Let's assume you have a decent job that pays well, you started from little and got promoted to a big post now. But, what about the next generation? Do they inherit any of your success directly? Apart from the money and upbringing you giving them? I know this should be enough for most but the fact is your struggle from little to all can't be transferred into any of their benefits later. But think of a business, that you started from zero and now has expanded a lot, you have assets worth a substantial amount. The next generation would inherit the assets, a backup or readymade scope to be enlarged by them. But in the corporate guy's case, it doesn’t work like that, he needs to raise them to be capable of starting again. It may be a good start yet it depends, nothing is made beforehand.

Freelance work has the freedom, I want to feel that not like a machine in the corporate field. As I didn’t inherit any business nor do I have the ability to start one right now. It's better to pick the freelance path and start a side hustle that should be nurtured to bring in a better shape in the future. It should be big enough to back me up if I face any downfall in my freelance life. That business should be good enough to create employment for others instead of me dying as an employee.

So yeah, this is it. I don't know what's written on my fortune but I am working hard to stay on my plan, may the Almighty bless me with success. What's your plans for yourself or thoughts about this? Wish you the best in your plans as well.
