While they are killing jobs, I would think Google is a head of the curve and already seen the dangers of AI in it's business model and probably doing what the old Car and Oil companies did with a bit more foresight. Buy the tech, invest the tech and "slow release it" to maintain it's financial position and dominance on the sector. Kodac and Digital cameras is a widely shared story on what not to do in business.

You mistake layoffs as bad for a company. That is the best thing it can do. Google is going to enhance it profitability by having AI handle the ads. That only helps the bottom line.

So I dont think Googles business model is the risk which was the case with Kodak.
