They execute the entire loan transaction within a single Ethereum block. This means that borrowers must repay the borrowed funds within the same transaction. Flash loans are essentially risk-free for lenders since the borrowed funds are guaranteed to be returned. This reversing is possible here in flash loan and transection fee is less. So, its popular here.

Flash loan has ability to facilitate arbitrage opportunities in the DeFi space. Traders can take advantage of price discrepancies between different decentralized exchanges to generate profits. If a user holds a substantial amount of collateral locked in one protocol but wants to use it in another, they can take out a flash loan to borrow the same amount of another token. Traders can also borrow large amounts of one token, execute trades across multiple exchanges to take advantage of price differentials and then repay the loan instantly.

This rapid execution allows traders to exploit market inefficiencies and capitalize on small price differentials that would not be profitable with traditional trading methods. They can then use this borrowed token as collateral in the desired protocol and unlock their original collateral. This mechanism provides flexibility and liquidity to DeFi participants. So the capital allocation is optimized.
