Indeed quality sleep is needed for better health, all the points stated here, I can resonate with them, especially the part of going to bed early and being a morning person. I will like to add some few tips as well that I have tried, although not frequent in it, still need more discipline they are;
- A 5 minutes stretch before taking a bath and going to bed.
- A 5 mins meditation as you have suggested but with soothing sounds in the background.
