.When I open the Hive site after an extended time off there are always things I expect, and things I hope for. One of those expectations is to see the content of familiar faces which eases me back in like I haven't missed a beat.
I imagine if it didn't quite happen, and opening up through Hive portal reveals a platform I can't relate it. Imagine if everyone suddenly made their way from this platform (like during the stream days) and I just got in after an extended time off. It'll be rather unsettling, and probably affect my motivation to continue.
These old familiar faces, not many - keep the platform deeply personal to me. It is a sentiment that I guess most of us share. This is especially true as I get older. Being tossed in a room filled with strangers to me no longer sounds like the adventure it once did.
The word is comforting. It is comforting to be surrounded by familiars. Having a routine to fall back on is also comforting. I can't imagine this platform without some of you guys and hopefully there'll be no surprises in the future.
