Ignore Your Problems and They Will..

Being a grown up can be hard sometimes. When I had burdens as a child I always knew help wasn't too far away. My problems were not nearly as complex either. Trying to figure out a test, which University to study, even who to date at the time wasn't a big deal. Then of course the one that gets us up at night sometimes, our finances, I certainly had a lot of support from my parents into my young adult years.

My point is that the problems didn't feel insurmountable, as you'd always guess that a solution was just around the corner. Even for things that had no immediate solution, there was always a rather silent assurance that help will come along the way. Younger me had an expectation of help you might say.

Fast forward to present day and the story is quite different. The older I get the more lonely the road seemingly becomes. My network has vastly improved over the years, but there are not many people I can turn to. That said, there is even a reluctance on my part to receive help sometimes, which even I am yet to fully understand. Yet life doesn't hold back when it comes to the trails it sometimes puts us through. There are times the challenges come full force, nonstop without warning.

I have been overwhelmed in many of life's critical areas more than a number of times over the last few years, something that wasn't a feature in my earlier years. We're often told that adversity makes us stronger and that may be true, but the process of overcoming said adversity is not a simple one.

Sometimes time is the only solution to overcoming adversity. How else does one fight without the resources to do at our disposal? It is simply to wait it out and refuse to crumble under pressure. Easier said than done though. Sometimes it takes longer than necessary but eventually every adversity does come to a definite end.
