Cheerleaders

We all love a great comeback story. I've watched several sporting events given further depth thanks to circumstances that may have risen outside the sport itself. Can't help it, but I'll always root for the person who has been down and is trying to find their feet back up.

I think it is in the willingness to get back up that compels so much support. Perhaps everyone can relate to challenges and the feelings of being down in one form or the other. When someone regardless of those circumstances decides to improve their lot and not be a victim to circumstances, then it becomes worthy of commendation.

I say this because many people have silent cheerleaders egging them on and wishing they succeed. Some cheerleaders are rather vocal about it, and I believe it doesn't hurt to let someone know that you believe in them and support when they're trying to get back up. The backbone of performance has always been in support, and it isn't something that we should refuse or take for granted.
