Before the Finish Line

I watched highlights of an interesting race at the European Indoor Championships, the Women's 60m Final. It was won by an Italian lady who barely held off a fast finishing Swiss lady by microseconds. Assuming it was a 70m race, we would've had a different champion. However, considering the race it was, she certainly did enough to emerge champion and was rightly crowned. The race got me thinking though, as it gave an interesting illustration about life.

While some of us are late bloomers, it is a lot better to start off early and finish things as early as possible for the simple reason that one doesn't know where the proverbial finish line is for most of us doing normal everyday things. There is a point we cross that we simply cannot get the same optimal results irrespectively of how hard we try. I think this line exists even though many of us aren't quite conscious of it.

Take for instance the crypto space. Even though the space still hasn't realized its full potential, you get the feeling that the door of opportunity closes slightly with every passing year. It is still possible to make gains now but for those who don't take advantage, the story will be different in a few years. My point is that all the necessary adjustments can still be made before that proverbial finish line to ensure that we get the best results.
