Hello all! Another week and it’s time again to do another #myhivegoals post, a series idea started by started by @jongolson. This also doubles as my weekly progress report for #saturdaysavers, which is a fun little group that tries to motivate everyone to save and reach their goals. I’m going to look at the progress I’ve made on my Hive goals, as well as give a few tokens I’m looking at right now. If you are here for the comment SBI giveaway, well, we’ll get to that too.
Let’s start with my Hive goals.
𝙃𝙞𝙫𝙚 𝙋𝙤𝙬𝙚𝙧
My current goal is 35k Hive.
Last week I made 231.46, bringing me to 22498.96 total Hive Power. That’s 64.3% of my goal!
Math time. 35k - 22498.96 gives us 12501.04. Divided out by the days till the first of next year, we get 35.5 Hive needed per day to reach 35k by that point. Last week I was at 33.066 earned per day, so I’m still behind the pace needed to reach my goal but I was close! If I can get on pace for 35k, I may even allow myself to think of my stretch goal of 40k.
But I do have to give a huge thank you to @livinguktaiwan, because a chunk of my weekly gain came from partially winning her contest. Without that, my average would have been lower.
Still under pace… but let’s see if I can do better this week!

Moving on to the Hive-Engine tokens. My primary goal is hive power, so I’m not using any of my post earnings here. But I do use any money made in swap.hive (from selling other random tokens earned) to throw into PIMP or BRO.
My overall goal here is 1000 BRO and 100k PIMP.
Last week I didn’t make much headway on BRO. I only earned 0.141, which puts me at 525.83 total or 52.6% of my goal. PIMP, however, I bought and earned 424.3 PIMP last week, putting me at 64119.2 — 64.1% of my goal.
I know I’m not on pace to make my BRO goal by the end of the year, and I’m probably not on pace for my PIMP goal either—I’m not going to do the math, just a feeling—but that’s ok. The focus is on Hive Power, these are just more for whenever I get there.

Finally, my last goal category is silver. I try to pick up a little silver every week. This may be a 1oz coin or round, or it make be an older coin from back when they still used silver in regular coinage.
This week I just picked up the latter, getting another ¥100 coin from the days when these were 60% silver. I know, I know, I said no more Japanese junk silver this year. I just can’t resist.
If you are interested, I wrote about this rice design ¥100 coin → here.
If you haven’t checked the silver charts, with the exception of a small drop and a small jump it was mosly sideways with the week finishing at nearly the same level it started. With the hype surrounding the Bitcoin EFT over, will silver have a better week this week? Let’s see what happens!

That stuff out of the way, let’s do our SBI drawing! If you are new here, I give away 5 shares of SBI every week to commenters on this post. If you also reblog and comment you get a second entry and double the award (if you win).
So how about this week? Let’s see… last post we had comments from @bhetea01 @bitcoinman @bozz @bulliontools @devpress @dkid14 @go-kyo @hoosie @kerrislravenhill @mypathtofire @rafzat @stekene @thebighigg.
And the winners are…
@bulliontools @bhetea01 @go-kyo @hoosie @stekene!
Congratulations, everyone!

Before we go, if you missed my recent amidakuji lottery, go join it now! I got surprisingly few entries this time. My fault for posting it at the end of last month when everyone was busy.
You won’t be able to add to the prize pot anymore, but you can still make a guess and test your luck. I’ll be revealing the winner soon, so join now before it’s too late!
