Hello all! Another week and it’s time again to do another #myhivegoals post, a series idea started by started by @jongolson. This also doubles as my weekly progress report for #saturdaysavers, which is a fun little group that tries to motivate everyone to save and reach their goals. I’m going to look at the progress I’ve made on my Hive goals, as well as give a few tokens I’m looking at right now. If you are here for the comment SBI giveaway, well, we’ll get to that too.
Let’s start with my Hive goals.
Hive & HBD
My goal for this year was 35k Hive. And I am past that!! Woohoo! My stretch goal was 40k, and… well, I’m not quite there yet.
Last week I made (and bought) 585.2, bringing me to 35,674.390 total Hive Power. That’s 89.2% of my stretch goal!
Math time. 40k - 35,674.390 gives us 4325.61. Divided out by the days till the first of next year, we get 50.3 Hive needed per day to reach 40k by that point.
At 50.3 HIVE needed per day, I doubt I will reach 40k as is. Then again, HIVE remains cheap. As I write this, it is back up to 20 cents, but even that is still cheap, so I may keep buying. If so… let’s see how close we can get to 40k!
Second Layer Tokens
Token | Last week total | Goal | Needed | Note |
---|---|---|---|---|
— | 2000 | 0 | Goal Met | |
BRO | 0.116 | 1000 | 387.217 | 61.3% of the way there! |
PIMP | 475.98 | 100k | 8822.190000000002 | 91.2% of the way there! |
CINE | 386.522 | — | — |
All in all, pretty normal gains here. I’m getting about 1–3 cents in curation daily from CINE, so I may start selling the curation and using it to fund BRO or PIMP buys. A few cents per day is… not much, so I don’t know. We’ll see if it’s worth my time to do that.
Silver
The silver chart for last week:
Silver really had a hell of a great week. Wow. If only every week was so good. Let’s see if this one can continue the trend.
So for last week did I increase my silver by any? Funny thing about that. A few days ago I posted about coming across a Walking Liberty half-dollar. Well, just yesterday I came across another! What are the odds, eh? I rarely see American money at my coin shop here, and yet suddenly I see two of the same coins within a week! In Japan we like to say things come in threes; I wonder what the third thing will be in this case…
Anyway, here is the “new” coin picked up yesterday (on the right) next to the “old” one (on the left). You can see the one I picked up yesterday is much dirtier, but it is less worn and shows more detail. Which is better…?
Giveaway
That stuff out of the way, let’s do our SBI drawing! If you are new here, I give away 5 shares of SBI every week to commenters on this post. If you also reblog and comment you get a second entry and double the award (if you win).
So how about this week? Let’s see… last post we had comments from @ashiru [x2] @bozz @dewabrata @hetty-rowan [x2] @kerrislravenhill @rufans @thebighigg [x2] @vaynard86 [x2].
And the winners are…
@vaynard86 [x2] @ashiru [x2] @dewabrata @rufans @kerrislravenhill!
Congratulations, everyone!
And forward we go! It was a strong week. Let’s see how this coming one goes!
