Mackerel fishing quotas.
I recently learned that in my home country, Moldova, the price of my favorite fish, mackerel, has sharply increased, almost doubling to almost 300 Moldovan lei, due to the reduction of ocean fishing quotas.
In theory, such measures should have an impact on the global fish market, but for some reason, it's primarily hit a small country that only recently gained access to the sea.
In a neighboring country, the price of mackerel is more than half that; it's all very strange.
