India used to be one of the countries that provided cheap data. I came to know about this after talking to some of my friends in other countries. It appears that the internet is comparatively cheap in India. Thanks for the advancement in information and technology. Another good thing about this in India is that there are competitors who try to provide a better service than the other and ultimately give the best price to the consumers.
Recently, when Jio was launched, the same thing happened. All the outgoing calls were being charged and a new revolution was made where the outgoing calls became completely free after the launch of Jio. Today, we have the same thing with Data. These companies are earning a lot of money with data plans. There are some plans available that give unlimited data, but for small customers or prepaid customers, some plans are very costly, and they charge a lot of money. Today, the plans are also not very flexible.
I had been thinking about this for a very long time to switch to postpaid instead of prepaid. Even though Jio still provides a very good price for prepaid customers by providing a plan that is unlimited in everything for about Rs 276 per month. There are also similar plans available in Airtel. I have been using both service providers for a very long time. They are the main competitors in Chennai, and all other network providers have lost business in Chennai. That's a good thing as well as a bad thing because if there is no competition available, we have to abide only by their rules. We cannot question them because they don't care much, as they have good business even without us.
In my office, I have an option to submit telephone, internet, and mobile bills for tax exemption, and this is a benefit provided by the companies. For this, we have to submit the bills and get the tax exemption. This is one of the primary reasons why I wanted to switch to postpaid. With postpaid, we get more data, or sufficient data, I should say, and at the same time, we can also cover many services in just one bill. It is easy to just manage one bill payment and worry about the rest. To make it even easier, I have taken a combined plan for my entire family where all their mobile bills comes to me and I pay the mobile bills. I don't know if this is a money saver or not, but I have to say that it is easy and better to manage.
