As part of the initiative to take Hive to the general people, taking Hive to college students is a very important step. The main reason why we have to do this is because college students are the most energetic people who might have some dreams of achieving something in their lives. They are very fresh and can think about so many things. These days the level of exposure college students are getting is enormous and they would like to achive more during the initial days of their careers, unlike other individuals who have several years of experience in the industry.
I think it is important to bring young people to Hive because they come up with fresh thoughts and innovations. One thing that attracts me is that there are some young chaps that I have known and they always think differently. As they are not exposed to any of the known methods of problem-solving, they come up with innovative ways so that the regular methods are not a big deal anymore. Of course, experience is also important but if there is a mentor with enough experience, they can do wonders. There are a few advantages we get from bringing young people to this ecosystem.
Learning and earning
The hive ecosystem is very good for building anything on top of the Hive platform. Earlier it used to be just a blogging platform but with the help of some sidechain capabilities, Hive can also be used as a platform to build so many things. We have some support on the first layer but if anyone would like to create anything on the second layer, it would be a great solution.
Students might usually find this as a good learning opportunity. Blockchain technology even though existed for nearly a decade, there is not enough adoption everywhere. The best place to take it is the student population where they can explore this and build something nice. When students build projects, today blockchain is a cutting-edge technology and many final-year students are willing to do some projects on web3. I got the opportunity to interact with a few people and they are very much interested in exploring blockchain technology. Unfortunately, nobody knows about Hive but it is a good start to onboard people to the Hive ecosystem so that they can do some projects on Hive.
Apart from learning, there is also an earning opportunity we have in the Hive ecosystem. People who are good at writing articles or people who would like to play games on Hive can make use of this opportunity to explore and earn a decent amount of money from this. No other blockchain has a straightaway opportunity to earn money by spending time there.
Guest lectures
One of my friends was interested in going and talking to a few colleges in and around our City. I was also wondering if it would be good to accompany him to do some guest lectures on Hive. But then I thought it may not be very easy because to explain Hive, I have to start from fundamentals. I'm not sure how familiar the students are with blockchain technology. We might have to explain the basic concepts first and then talk about to Hive Ecosystem. I think when I joined, I had some similar questions too and I was wondering from where all the money was coming. Later I started to grasp all those concepts.
