RE: [Retro review] [Eng | Esp] Happy Gilmore

It is indeed a completely ridiculous film and there are parts of it that weren't really even complete and they had to do things like overdub the dialogue or include things that didn't look quite completed. But i guess they were of the opinion that it was "good enough" and put it in the final cut anyway. Well, they made the right choice apparently because this iconic film went on to make a ton of money and become one of the most famous silly comedy movies of the 90's.

I consider that this film is one of the best definitions of what it means (in most cases) a film starring Adam Sandler, is one of those scarce films where the stupideces seem genuinely made to proceed by the actors.

I think it perfectly showcases Sandler's sort of not giving a damn silly attitude and how that actually works for a lot of people. I think that Sandler has something there because even his terrible films have made a ton of money. People just keep coming back for him!

Coincidentally I raised another review of a film starring him and I refer to that, Sandler's comfort zone is comedy, no matter if it is generic or something repetitive, he always knows how to take a turn to continue to make fun, it is his magic.
