RE: Commenting Goals

in Self Improvement2 years ago

Hey! I enjoy the interaction here. I commented a lot early on and that helped me connect with people. I get that people come here for the rewards, but getting feedback on your posts has value too.

I do see some people churning out far more comments than me and I think that is partly driven by Ecency rewarding activity. If I get comments that do not seem sincere then they get nothing from me. Someone may say they enjoyed a video I did, but I can see from their history that they spent no more than a minute on my post. Some of those comments are very generic and may even be using the 'AI' tools. I care about engaging with real people.

Keep having fun.

I wouldn't think the Ecency rewards would be enough to do that, but you're probably right. I still respond to comments like that when I get them, but I am rolling my eyes as I do so, and my reply might have a little sarcasm in it.

Anyway, I agree with you, the feedback and interaction on posts is really where the best value is. Meeting people, having a pleasant discussion, hopefully bringing some joy to their lives. All these things add up to far more value than the money most of us make on the post.
