Hello again, I'm back after another spree of card making, where I did little else for two days, lol. These will mostly go to seniors, but also some to homeless folks at a shelter, and friends (you usually can't send cards to prisoners, they have strict crazy rules for many of them where they can only receive plain letters on white paper in white envelopes).
This batch is 52 cards. The last batch of 30 were written out and sent in 13 days, so we'll see how long these ones last me. 😁
To the close ups!
I had some sports themed cut outs from a scrapbooking pack I got as a gift years ago, so I looked up quotes from players or coaches to match those ones. I figure there are a lot of sports fans in nursing homes and such.
I also had a bunch of gardening cut outs, so there are gardening quotes, too.
Sailing related quote for the one with the ship and the shoreline stickers.
The suns I made out of foam.
So there's the new batch of cards. I hope they bring people a little joy to their day when they receive one. :)
Thanks for reading and have a wonderful week!
Don't forget, if you would like to write seniors too, check out the sites lettersagainstisolation.com and loveforourelders.org! LAI is sending to nursing homes, assisted living, meals on wheels groups, etc. and you don't know specifically who the recipients are, but you can send multiple to the same address. Occasionally there is a birthday though, just recently I wrote to someone for their 101st birthday! LFOE is a small list of seniors every month with a little bio and they are collecting a bundle of letters to cheer them up.
LAI addresses are in the US, Canada, Australia, and the UK, and many languages are requested. LFOE recipients can be anywhere, though most are in the US, I've sent to other countries too! I think New Zealand, India, and was it Hong Kong? It was a while ago, lol.
