This ancestral and old house owned by the owner of this sanctuary has also turned and developed into an exhibit room were lots of old and antique things from the past exhibited here. According to the historian, Manticao was once a place were lots of Japanese soldiers built a camp during The Second World War. As for that, the Japanese and Philippine flag also hanged in here. The structure is made of light materials just like lumbers, nets, bamboo pieces and some round lumber that served as foundation.
This simple native house riplica also added to other structures here. It is made of bamboo pieces coated with varnish to make it shinny. The rooftop is made of cogon grass and it shows the old Native houses built here in Manticao.
This long and wide bamboo walls gives a great views of the place, some native people's hunting tools are also exhibit at the walls. Along with different kinds of ornamental plants at the landscapes, the structure will become really attractive.
Historical events are recorded and exhibit here, even the history of the old name of Manticao. According to the history, Mantukaw is the original name of the Municipality and as many years has past it was completely turned into named Manticao. Most of the arts works are also placed near at the reception hall so everybody can see and read the brief history of the place.
This is the Reception hall and it holds different kinds of occasions, it is adorned with curtains and recycled chandeliers made of shiny sea shells. Most parts of the structure is made of light materials and solid concrete particularly the floors and a big tents fit for many people.
This place also contains lots of big water lilies fit inside of the big cauldron. This water lilies brought from far place particularly in Cagayan de Oro City, this kind of fresh water plants are very expensive but it gives a great and relaxing views here in the Sanctuary.
Arburetum means a collection or fucosing of trees, as for that there are lots of native trees like Molave, Acacia, Mahogany trees can be seen and found here. Birds nest Sanctuary contains this kind of trees so it can make the place very cool and aside of that, everyone will know the exact image of the trees and its good contributions to the Nature.
This old structure of a house and a church is also located near at Bird's Nest Sanctuary. This structures ages hundred years old and it includes as ancestral and old structures here in Barangay Pagawan. If we really visited this place, we can truly feel and imagined the past civilizations including their simple tools and aside of that, bonding with Nature is also perfect in here.
