It's an interesting island with a lot of history. Amazing to think how different military life was back then compared to now. I think I liked my modern military experience, serving back then would have been rough.

Great pictures though, too bad the food wasn't a knock out, maybe next time!

        I didn't serve, but I have often thought about that. There is a fort in the extreme northern part of Michigan that is just beautiful, but I can't imagine how brutal the winter's must have been back in the day.
