The Adventure Begins! We Finally Made It!

Well Hello There Adventure Seekers!

It has been quite some time since my last post here in the #pinmapple community! Thinking about it now I really should find a way to pack more adventures into my long working year! I mean after all there is a bunch of long weekends through out it! A get away this year is a must!

But for now let's jump into some of my adventures I had during the December holidays! We went down to The Western Cape! A lovely place called Dana-Bay! Well in truth we went all over that part of the country! Mossel-bay, George, Hartenbos, Stil-bay (I hope that is what it's called in english!) One thing I am very regretfull that we didn't do was the "Cango Caves" in "Oudtshoorn," Now that would have been something to see!

There's always next year though!

The Greeting Of The Seas!

We made it love! We finally made it!

Heck, we didn't do much the first day since we packed in quite some hours on the road! One can say double the hours and all that because of a car breaking down on us! Unpleasant I can tell you! Very unpleasant! We were about halfway down to the coast when we had to turn around and head back home, at-least the car was still in a drive-able condition. To sum it up I spent around 26 hours on the road over a period of a day and a half! That was hectic!

Hence me saying we finally made it! Laughs! When all the car trouble started I didn't think we'd have a holiday this year! But fortunately things worked out splendidly for us!

The Betty is somewhere in the photo! Although she's so tiny you can barely see her!

Well we did what we usually did on the first day and that was going to the iconic "Mossel-Bay Point!"

I didn't care for how tired I was or we were we had to make use of the first day! We just had to! Even if it was just for a ice-cream and a walk!!

It felt really amazing to hear the sound of the ocean and the crashing waves and the laughs of joy from all the tourists! Especially after hearing road noise for the last 26 hours!

The Beautifull Big Blue Ocean!

First Things First!

Seeing the ocean and getting ice-cream was the first two objectives we had and so far we've successfully done that! (Not like the failed start of a journey down to the coast!)

This almost feels like a routine thing now! Get some ice-cream and take a stroll next to the ocean until we find a nice place to sit and take it all in for what it is!

A damn joy! That's what it is!

Ice-cream! Yes Please!

The Point Of Human Origins!

Now in all honesty it felt nice seeing that big boulder over looking the ocean as well!
They call it the "Point Of Human Origins" although it is a bit of a contradicting situation because up in "Johannesburg" we have the "Cradle Of Humankind" sooooo what is this now! Laughs, we can't have two points where "human kind" started right?

Meh, it's somewhat irrelevant now! I just like the look of it and the view it gives when standing on top of it!

If you were to put me back in the olden days before everything we know today existed! I'd have surely made that big hole in the rocks my home as well!

I have to say I am liking the way these photos came out! I'm only inspecting them now, almost a month later! Geez how time flies!

It really is a big boulder hey!

It's a complete different feeling when you actually head up the pathway next to it! You only see half of what there really is! Don't even get me started on what you see when going down the St.Blaize Trail! And I've got something special for that one that I will share in a later post!

Let's just say we went farther than we have ever gone on the trail!! Amazing stufff.

It has another cavern or hollowed out piece.

Probably Not Relevant At All!

But who cares right? This is my story after all! He he he!

So it might be hard to see but notice that little solar panel infront of the blue Jeep?

Well I'm not exactly sure how but somehow they coupled that with the battery, likely let it charge for a while and then proceeded to start the little blue Jeep with that!

Now that is how you use a brain!

That's called thinking.

Just One Of The Cool Things.

So since this is a huge tourist attraction the wildlife in this area has really gotten used to the amount of people in the area!

It's a nice feeling to chill up on the rocks while gazing over the ocean and having all these "Dassies" jumping about the rocks!

The Immense Beauty!

Isn't this just gorgeous?

I think so! And what makes it even more gorgeous is the bright blue of the ocean! Even though I'm not a fan of the sun I do want the sun to shine on everyday that we have at the seaside! This year unfortunately wasn't my year for that so I have a deep admiration for the photos that I was able to get of the deep blue sea!

Most of the days were cloudy and sort of rainy but also not! Still made the best of it though!

Jaw dropping views!

Some more beauty!

The lone standing rock!

We Settled On That Spot!

What better thing is there to do than just simply sitting on a rock and relaxing all the while gazing out over the ocean?

I don't think there is anything better than that in life! Perhaps with a book and a picnic basket it can be better but other than that I don't see myself doing anything else when I retire one day!

Oh yes some photo shoot time.

I was a little indecisive as to which photos I wanted to use! So here is three of the same... more or less but from different angles! In-fact I should just add every damn photo I took into the post but that would be a little overkill!

I already add way too many words in my posts! But there is so much crap to talk! Laughs! Hive should really add some sort of DM thing or not? Or maybe they should? It would make the platform more connective?

When All Was Set And Done For The Day!

We went home after that and decided to set up the Christmas tree! Or well let me put that in the way it really was!

I set up the Christmas tree and "The Betty" decorated it! While I watch her having the time of her life!

A Couple Of Videos I Thought I Might Add!

Your photos captured the beauty of the ocean, the landscapes, and the festive atmosphere during the Christmas season. Setting up the Christmas tree and sharing those moments with "The Betty" adds a special touch to your holiday memories.

Thank you for sharing your adventures and the stunning visuals.

Oh the best part is to share all this with someone special 😁 that much is certain!

I am especially fond of the deep blue the ocean is. Such a beautifull scenery!
I have some more coming, although we had a few cloudy days so some images aren't as popping as the rest 😅

Very beautiful sea, thank you for sharing your experience

The sea, that looks fantastic doesn't it?
