Our Summer Getaway to Anda de Boracay
Hello! Since it’s officially summer, let me share one of the most peaceful and refreshing trips we’ve had as a family. This season, we decided to take a break from the usual noise and rush of everyday life and explore a lesser-known but beautiful spot in Bohol; Anda de Boracay White Sand Resort. It turned out to be the perfect place to relax, reconnect, and enjoy the simple joys of being together.
After months of busy routines and long days, our family needed a break. Somewhere quiet, beautiful, and perfect for reconnecting. So this summer, we packed our bags and headed to a hidden gem in Bohol: Anda de Boracay White Sand Resort.
My sister and I flew from Manila to Bohol. Since we both work in Manila, it was the most convenient way for us to travel. The rest of our family came from Zamboanga del Norte, so we decided to just meet halfway at the Bohol airport. It felt good to see everyone again after some time apart, and we were all excited to start our summer getaway.
From the airport in Panglao, it took us about 2 hours and 33 minutes by car to reach the town of Anda roughly 115.8 kilometers away. The drive was calm and scenic. We passed by trees, small towns, and saw beautiful countryside views along the way. We could already feel that this was going to be a special trip.
When we arrived at the resort, we were instantly greeted by its beauty. The view was breathtaking—a long stretch of beach lined with palm trees, a wide horizon of clear blue sky, and the endless ocean shimmering under the sun. But what stood out the most was the powdery white sand; so fine and soft it felt like walking on clouds. It glistened under the sunlight, making the entire shoreline look like something out of a postcard.
Anda de Boracay White Sand Resort lives up to its name and more. The peaceful atmosphere, unspoiled surroundings, and vibrant blues of the sea created the perfect backdrop for rest and relaxation. It was like stepping into our own little paradise, far from the noise of the city.
What makes Anda even more special is that it’s still a hidden gem in Bohol. While popular spots like Alona Beach attract crowds and a buzzing nightlife, Anda offers something different-peace, space, and a slower pace. It’s not very popular yet, which honestly makes it even better. There were no noisy parties, no crowded beaches. Just nature, calm, and the feeling of having the place almost all to yourself. It’s the kind of destination where you can truly breathe and unwind.
We stayed in one of the beach cottages, and it was just what we needed; clean, quiet, and right by the shore. There’s something magical about sipping coffee while looking out at the peaceful sea with your family nearby.
One of the features our family loved the most was the resort’s swimming pool. With the ocean as its backdrop, it was the perfect spot to cool off during the warmer parts of the day. We splashed and played for hours while we lounged nearby, enjoying the view and the fresh breeze. It was simple, peaceful, and exactly what we needed. The contrast of the crystal-clear pool water with the vast blue sea behind it was truly picture-perfect.
The food at the resort’s restaurant was another pleasant surprise. We enjoyed delicious local dishes, fresh seafood, and tropical fruit juices while dining in an open-air setting. Everything was simple but prepared with care—and nothing beats a good meal with a sea breeze and the sound of waves in the background.
But beyond the activities, what really made this trip special were the quiet moments. Playing on the beach, building sandcastles, collecting seashells, those were the memories that stayed with us.
Anda gave us something we didn’t realize we needed so badly: peace. It was a reminder that the best moments often come from the simplest experiences. watching your family laugh in the waves, sharing stories over lunch, and feeling completely present.
This trip to Anda de Boracay White Sand Resort reminded us that we don’t always have to go far or spend big to experience something truly special. Sometimes, the most unforgettable moments are made in quiet places, surrounded by nature and the people you love the most.
If you’re dreaming of a calm, beautiful escape away from the crowds—make Anda your next stop. It’s not just a place to visit, but a place to breathe, reflect, and create memories that will stay with you long after the summer ends.
Until our next family adventure! 🌴☀️
