If Day 2 was all about hopping from lagoon to river like full-on island babes, Day 3 was our main character road trip episode. We decided it was time to explore the farther gems of Siargao, so we went all in! We rented a car that fit all seven of us and paid ₱2,500 for a 24-hour joyride across the island. Honestly? Worth every peso for the memories alone.
The plan was simple: drive, vibe, stop where the wind (and Instagram) tells us to, and just live in the moment. We packed our energy, cute outfits, and beach playlists, and off we went.
First Stop: Alegria Beach
This beach was giving peace and quiet, far from the usual buzz of General Luna. The moment we arrived, we were greeted by fine white sand, crystal clear water, and barely a crowd in sight. It felt like we had the entire beach to ourselves. We didn’t swim too long, but the calm and stillness of the place really set the mood for a soul-refreshing kind of day.
The Million Dollar View
Next up: that iconic overlooking road , you know the one. As we drove downhill, we were treated to what I call the "Million Dollar View", waves rolling in the distance, a sea of coconut trees swaying left and right like they were dancing just for us. We literally had to pull over just to take it all in (and take photos, obviously). The way the road curved and opened to that majestic scenery? Nature’s version of a red carpet moment.
Lunch at Trogon’s Perch (Separate Blog Post Coming!)
We knew we had to pause for food, and we picked the right place, Trogon’s Perch. The vibe? Mediterranean magic. With its white walls, textured details, and a lighthouse (Parola) in the background, it honestly felt like we’d been transported to Greece. But I’m saving the full juicy experience for a separate post because this spot deserves a whole spotlight.
Pasikon Beach Quick Stop
After lunch, we cruised toward Pasikon Beach for a mini photo op. It wasn’t part of our original plan, but sometimes the best parts of road trips are the spontaneous detours. The beach had a rugged charm, with fewer people and a kind of raw beauty that’s perfect for those “caught in the moment” shots.
Surf & Chill at Pacifico Beach
To end the day with some action (for some) and relaxation (for others), we headed to Pacifico Beach, known for its powerful waves and surfer scene. A few of the girls went ahead and rented boards while the rest of us, aka Team Hammock ,chose the chill life. There’s something so therapeutic about swaying in a hammock under the trees, watching surfers do their thing as the sun begins to dip. It was the perfect wind-down.
A Little Sunset Side Quest
We then headed back to Siargao Residency to freshen up and prep for dinner. But hold up, the night wasn’t over just yet.
Demple and I had a little extra plan up our sleeves. We slipped away to Siargao Bleu for their happy hour, because what’s a beach trip without a little seaside cocktail sesh, right? With an amaretto sour in hand, feet in the sand, and the waves gently crashing in the background, we just sat there, soaking it all in. The bar had the perfect mix of mellow music and beachy ambiance: chill, cozy, and a little dreamy.
It was the kind of night that doesn’t need much, just a good drink, good vibes, and a moment of peace by the sea. 💚
