This morning, I found myself at the beautiful Ubud Village Resort, waiting for my clients. Arriving an hour early due to the traffic, I had plenty of time to explore the tranquil surroundings of the hotel lobby and its gardens.
As I stepped into the lobby, I was immediately enveloped by the soothing ambient Balinese music playing softly through the speakers. The calm and silence were striking, only interrupted by the rhythmic sounds of cicadas in the coconut trees, creating a perfect harmony with the music.
The staff at the reception were very helpful, asking if I needed anything and making sure I was comfortable. After thanking them, I decided to use the extra hour to wander around and explore.
The gardens surrounding the lobby were a sight to behold, with a variety of plants like small yellow bamboo, pandan leaves, and banana leaves adding vibrant colors to the scenery. The lush meadows and lotus ponds, interspersed with serene rice fields, painted a picturesque landscape.
During my exploration, I also took a moment to visit the restroom. Even the loo was beautifully designed, reflecting the resort's attention to detail and dedication to creating a relaxing atmosphere.
Walking around, I couldn't help but feel relaxed. The resort was quiet, with just a few guests lounging by the vast swimming pool. Sunbeds lined the pool, with people lying down, soaking up the peaceful atmosphere. Occasionally, a guest would walk along the path that meandered through the gardens, adding a gentle liveliness to the otherwise calm setting.
As I waited for my clients, I felt grateful for this unexpected hour of relaxation in such a stunning location. Sometimes, arriving early isn't so bad after all.
