Hello everyone, how are you? Last June, I joined a tour of several historical sites there. One of the historical sites I visited was Bentara Budaya Kompas. This place is owned by Kompas, the largest media company in Indonesia.
The name of this place is Bentara Budaya Jakarta which is very unique. Present in the middle of a tall building. There is a small cafe that is usually a place for journalists or Kompas editors to chat. Oh yes, this place is a partnership between Kompas and the community. This place was opened on June 26, 1986, and at that time Indonesia was still in the new order.
Kompas is owned by two people, but I only know one person, Jakob Oetama. These two Kompas figures are in front of this place. This place does not reflect Jakarta's culture. This place has characteristics like the Kudus traditional house. I will not talk about that, I want to tell you the function of this place.
This place is often used for art exhibitions or other literary events. I have come here several times. Enjoying talk shows or just enjoying the exhibition. I will tell you about my impressions of this building. In terms of age, this place is still very sturdy. At more than 25 years old, this building is still very sturdy.
I feel very unique because it is in the middle of magnificent tall buildings typical of the city of Jakarta. Then, there are typical Javanese buildings. From the information I got, this place was built by measuring it myself and it took 5 years to complete this carving. From the information I got, this house is the best traditional house.
This place has a slightly tapered roof. Then the walls of this place have various carvings. The floor is terraced. It looks ordinary, but this is a characteristic of the Kudus traditional house. From this house, it can be seen that the carvings produced are for the nobility. The size of this place comes from the coast with a roof that is pence.
For the direction of this place, it faces south and north. The room is not partitioned, I like this building. When I entered, it didn't feel hot at all. It is suitable to be used as a residential house. However, some people in Jakarta really like culture, so things related to culture are often expensive.
That's all the story I can present. What do you think about this place? Do you like it? I like this place, it feels expensive among the towering Kompas building. That's all I can tell. See you again. Don't forget to leave a comment.
