Hello friends, how are you all? I hope you are doing well. Welcome to my new post. I travel to different places, one of which is Naogaon district. I have also visited different places in Bogra city, one of which is this shrine. Which is located in Bogra city in North Bengal of our country and this is a new thing for me. Anyway, let me tell you about it. First, I got off the bus at a place called Mahasthan near Bogra city at around 10 am. Then I took an auto rickshaw there and went there.
It was almost noon when I went there. The name of the place is Shah Sultan Balkhi Mahi Sawar (Rah) Shrine. He came to our Bangladesh mainly to spread Islam, he was a religious man. One of his titles was that he was a Sufi. Who came to our country to preach religion many years ago. He came to our Bengal between 1100 and 1200 centuries but his birthplace is Afghanistan. At that time there was a lot of preaching of Islam in which he participated for this preaching and he came here from that faraway Afghanistan.
Anyway, first I went there. I saw a big hill I thought that it might be one of the symbols of this place. I climbed up the hill. From the bottom of that hill, there were quite a few stairs going up, I climbed there first. Then I saw a big mosque there I realized that this is the main mosque here. Then I saw a big shrine next to the mosque and there were quite a few graves next to the shrine. I realized that maybe the various followers of this Shah Sultan Balkhi Mahi Sawar (Rah) are buried here.
Anyway then I slowly entered and saw that there was a big room there. Then I entered that room but it was forbidden to enter there quickly. Because it was a holy shrine. Then I entered the room and saw that there was a very big shrine. Next to it I read the name of this man and then I came to know who he was. After I entered there, there were quite a few people there. Who had come there mainly to visit the shrine.
Anyway I saw different types of establishments there. I saw quite a lot of people there. It is mainly the place where Urs is held, due to which many people are here almost all the time and food and drink are arranged here. Here you will see different types of fakirs and poor people who are usually sitting next to the shrine or they live there. There was a big well next to the shrine but it was dry. It must have been built in the first decade. Anyway I liked the place a lot I saw a lot of fakirs here. I hope you will comment a lot about my travel post, thank you all.
