A week in Gudauri
"No preamble today" — none
Gudauri is a small village nestled in the mountains along the highway. There are small hotels and guesthouses along the road. From the outside it doesn’t look very fashionable, but inside everything is beautiful and cozy. Friendly hosts, warmth and comfort await you. You can try Georgian cuisine, wines, cognac and chacha.
The slopes here in Gudauri, as usual, are divided by color into different difficulty levels. The slopes are generally flat and wide.
More expensive and new hotels are located in the mountains on the site of New Gudauri. It should be noted that the infrastructure is not yet so rich. There are several cafes and shops where you can have lunch.
Gudauri is a universal place. Every skier will find a slope to their liking there.
The resort is slowly developing. If in 2018 there were two peaks for skiing, then in 2019 a new gondola to the Kobi Pass and new routes from it appeared. Now anyone who wants to take the risk of going down from here through the freeride zone can return back in comfortable conditions, rather than catching a taxi on the Georgian military road.

Sometimes there were moments when you were completely alone on the whole huge slope. And that's cool.
A complete feeling of freedom and boundless buzz. Photos of course don't do it all justice. But take my word for it.

We were a little confused about the local customs for boarding the chairlift. The Caucasian temperament may be the prevailing factor here

We really wanted to try real Georgian kebab. One local guy promised us that the next day we could try something fantastic. Every day we came to his kiosk, but it was closed

That,s all for today.
Stand by

Sincerely yours
