Greetings everyone,
It’s me again sharing a quick glimpse of life. In my previous update, I shared my son Lucas’s simple moving-up ceremony and today I’m gonna share how we spend quality time together after it.
The first plan was just to eat out. The first planned destination was of course Lucas's favorite place the famous fast food chain in the Philippines the Jollibee. But I was thinking that the place might be so crowded due to a lot of graduations from different schools and for sure a lot of kids want to celebrate it there too and so I thought of something else new.
Delcoi’z Resto Cafe.
This place was located a second town from ours. It was opened I few years ago but I only passed by it many times because I never had the chance to try visiting the place thinking that the food is costly so I never mind trying it.
I remember way back in the years when it was newly opened they only had a lot of dragon fruit planted. It was so healthy that everyone who passed by the highway could see that beautiful and well-organized dragon fruit tree full of beautiful flowers with a lot of fruits on it too.
Fast forward: As we know we are devastated by the super typhoon Odette this place was so affected that they have to start rebuilding the foundation and planting those dragon fruits all over again.
Until such time last year, the place was fully recovered but they still operated servicing foods the other year while waiting for the place rehabilitation.
Now they even expanded the place as you can see. They also planted additional fruits grapes which added attraction to the place ch are very rare here since it's really hard to grow.
That was supposed to be the second fruit this year, but it doesn't seem good since we are suffering from a dry season where the plants in the forests die. So now it's too much for them to take care of it.
Anyway, I just received my salary at this moment 😁 so we ordered a couple of foods and of course, we never missed ordering their specialty which is the dragon fruit shake. The taste was fine it was just that there was not much flavor since dragon fruit doesn’t have too much taste but the color was so appetizing. We also ordered a mango shake and fries which was good, they use fresh potatoes and dressing which Lucas loves. We also have silog a famous Filipino breakfast dish and a sandwich.
We stayed for a few minutes after we ate and I would have liked to stay the night but I couldn't take pictures anymore because my battery was drained so I decided we just go home.
Honestly, the food was not cheap for us but it’s okay at least we did have fun and the kids enjoyed the food, especially Lucas.
And that’s it for me today guys. Thank you for reading this far. you’ll stay safe!
