I wonder if Serbia will enter EU one day. Unfortunately it won't be soon, I reckon, as their politicians have the opposite partners. When I was living in Sofia, we were spending many weekends in Serbia, wonderful food and drinks, pleasant hosts to our places to stay. I almost understand the language, no matter its grammar is closer to the Russian language than Bulgarian. Bulgaria has agreements with both Turkey and Serbia so we travel with our IDs, no passports necessary but crossing the Serbian border on road E80 is always slow as Turkish Gastarbeiters in Germany, well, other countries as well, use the same road.
Thank you and have a lovely Sunday yourself! :)
