Another first time visiting the Tobogán de la Selva (Jungle Slide) [Esp-Eng]

I have only visited the Tobogán de la Selva 4 times in my life, and that's because I lived a little more than 3 years in Amazonas and we visited frequently. But the important thing is not how many times I have gone or how many times I could have gone and didn't, but that every time I have gone I have enjoyed it as if it was the first time because it is an incredible place, but from my perspective very different every time you visit.

The truth is the weather in Amazonas is varied even though there is only summer and winter. The months that it only rains the Tobogán is painted a different color, a more green water and the current is so strong that if you are careless it takes you with it, but when it does not rain, the sun is inclement, and its color although it is still crystalline to the point of seeing everything in the water, it gets a little darker and is so peaceful that you could float all day and the water does not have enough strength to take you anywhere.

Solamente he visitado el Tobogán de la selva 4 veces en mi vida, y eso que viví un poco más de 3 años en amazonas y además frecuentemente visitamos. Pero lo importante no es cuantas veces he ido o cuantas pude haber ido y no lo hice, sino que todas las veces que he ido lo he disfrutado como si fuera la primera vez porque es un lugar increíble, pero desde mi perspectiva muy diferente cada que lo visitas.

La verdad se trata del clima en amazonas, es variado aún cuando solo existe el verano y el invierno. Los meses que solamente llueve el Tobogán se pinta de otro color, uno más verde agua y la corriente es tan fuerte que si te descuidas te lleva con ella, pero cuando no llueve, el sol es inclemente, y su color aunque sigue siendo cristalino al punto de ver todo lo que hay en el agua, se pone de un color un poco más oscuro y es tan pacifico que podrías flotar todo el día y el agua no tiene suficiente fuerza para llevarte a ningún lado.

The beauty of the Tobogán remains the same at any time, it is a super tourist place that people from all over the world visit, but still, it remains a natural site dominated by those unique stones that are everywhere in Amazonas, there they call it slabs, and in fact it is from it that the Tobogán de la Selva was created, since the frequency with which the water came down the slab, made this part became so slippery that anyone could throw himself down it, a totally natural slide.

Obviously to avoid any accident or that people due to the power with which they go down to the water went to one side, they put a half wall that now prevents you from slipping badly and continue your way to the river. And it may seem like child's play or even cause some fear, but it is an extremely fun activity for everyone, no matter how old they are. Although getting to the top to launch yourself could be considered high risk because of how slippery it is, the truth is that as a recommendation simply wear a pair of socks on the way up and that's it.

La belleza del Tobogán sigue siendo la misma en cualquier época, es un lugar súper turístico al que personas de todas partes visitan, pero aún así, sigue siendo un sitio natural en el que predominan esas piedras tan únicas que hay por todas partes de Amazonas, allá le llaman lajas, y de hecho a partir de ella es que se creó el Tobogán de la Selva, ya que la frecuencia con la que bajaba el agua por la laja, hizo que esta parte se volviera tan resbalosa que cualquiera podría lanzarse por ella, una resbaladilla totalmente natural.

Obviamente para evitar cualquier accidente o que las personas debido a la potencia con la que bajan al agua se fueran hacia un lado, pusieron una media pared que ahora impide que te resbales mal y sigas tu camino al río. Y puede parecer un juego de niños o incluso puede causar algo de temor, pero es una actividad sumamente divertida para todos, tengan la edad que tengan. Aunque llegar arriba para lanzarte podría considerarse de alto riesgo por lo resbaloso que es, la verdad es que como recomendación simplemente usa un par de medias al subir y ya está.

On this trip we were with several friends, to avoid the sun we put our bags and hammocks in a churuata in which when we wanted to sit or eat we got in to avoid the sun, this also make them with their own hands the people who take care of the place, they have a type of braiding to make them according to their indigenous ethnicity, and the truth is they do great because these completely cover the sun and rain.

The water that goes down the Tobogán, comes down from a river that is further up, although it has the same name all over the place this site is about 10 minutes up the huge slab, that if, for the part that is not slippery because it does not go down water for it. This river above is much deeper and therefore is a lagar that I prefer to avoid because honestly I feel safer when I hit the bottom of any river. But it is still beautiful and I took the chance to go through the rocks to take some pictures.

En este viaje estuvimos con varios amigos, para evitar el sol pusimos nuestros bolsos y chinchorros en una churuata en la que cuando queríamos sentarnos o comer nos metiamos para evitar el sol, esta también las hacen con sus propias manos las personas que cuidan el lugar, tienen un tipo de trenzado para hacerlas según su etnia indígena, y la verdad lo hacen genial porque estas cubren totalmente el sol y también la lluvia.

El agua que baja por el Tobogán, baja de un río que está más arriba, que aunque lleva el mismo nombre todo el lugar este sitio esta como a 10 minutos subiendo por la enorme laja, eso si, por la parte que no está resbalosa porque no baja agua por ella. Este río de arriba es muchísimo más profundo y por lo tanto es un lagar al que prefiero evitar porque honestamente me siento más segura cuando toco fondo en cualquier río. Pero sigue siendo hermosa y me arriesgue a pasar por las piedras para tomarnos algunas fotos.

Many people prefer to stay only in the upper part, since it is deeper and they like to swim or dive, I accompanied my husband to dive a couple of times, but I saw it from the outside. However, as I told you this site, which we had visited the previous time we visited Amazonas, looks like a totally different place, the current has less strength, the color of the water changed and also some stones came to light, as the water level dropped a little.

It doesn't matter if it is different every time I visit it, the truth is that every time it is an incredibly beautiful place, one of those that make you be amazed by the beauty and the incredible nature and its Creator. Of course we had a lot of fun and we went down the Tobogán several times, as our home is now 14 hours away from this place, every time we visit it we will enjoy it to the fullest because coming back is not so easy.

Muchos prefieren quedarse solo en la parte de arriba, ya que por tener más profundidad les gusta para nadar o lanzarse de clavado, yo acompañé a mi esposo a lanzarse un par de veces, pero lo vi desde afuera. Sin embargo, como les dije este sitio qué habíamos visitado la vez anterior que visitamos Amazonas, parece un lugar totalmente diferente, la corriente tiene menos fuerza, el color del agua cambió y además algunas piedras salieron a la luz, ya que el nivel del agua bajó un poco.

No importa si es diferente cada vez que lo visito, la verdad es que todas las veces es un lugar increíblemente hermoso, de esos que te hacen quedar asombrado por la belleza y lo increíble que es la naturaleza y su Creador. Por supuesto que nos divertimos un montón y nos lanzamos varias veces por el Tobogán, como nuestra casa ahora está a 14 horas de este lugar, cada vez que lo visitemos lo disfrutaremos al máximo porque volver no es tan sencillo.
