Thank you Sonia, I was enjoying a virtual tour of the city through your snaps, then you went into history mode........and I loved it even more, what fantastic facts about times gone by, from sticks, ingots to paper. (Uk "paper" money is now made of plastic!)

Made of plastic?! OMG... Ukraine started to use our local linen in production of paper money 😉
yeah, like a very thin plastic, supposed to last longer than paper, and harder to forge, it is weird! There was a lot of trouble at first with it as Muslims were complaining that the notes contained pig fat. FFS, what next ? some people are born to whinge and moan. Linen is interesting must get heavy when wet LOL
