So strolling around St John's in Antigua, a sudden downpour and darkening skies, I thought a look for somewhere to take temporary shelter would be a damned good idea

That'll do thought I, looks pretty innocuous, just stand under the archway,, until I stepped into an empty ante-room. then from not having a fucking clue what it was my eyes were opened.

Oops! Welcome to HM Prison Antigua; built in the 18th century designed to hold up to 150 inmates, currently holding nearly twice that.
There are complaints about conditions being cramped and hot, with poor hygiene standards. Hey!
If you can't do the time: don't do the fucking crime. Simples. Too many bleeding heart wet wipes in this world. Prison is a punishment not a fucking holiday camp. The UK is far too soft with it's scum bags.

The prison has a strict dress code for visitors, it also has a maximum security block and a gallows, which, though still on the statute books for treason and murder, haven't been used since 1991.

Couldn't resist taking these snaps, I didn't rattle the knocker, but thought, how quaint the signage was, hand written script. Also then noticed the cctv. I left!

Those walls don't look secure enough! There have been I find out a number of escapes including , Avie Howell, who was serving a life sentence for the 2008 murder of a British couple on their honeymoon, escaped with another inmate in June 2014 by climbing these walls, but was shot dead by police during a confrontation.
Oh dear how sad never mind.
