This time, I took a tour of downtown Valencia. I was running an errand and, as usual, also needed to buy some medicine for my parents.
The pharmacy I was headed to was right in the center of Valencia, so I decided to take a tour of the most iconic sites around me. I had time and a cell phone with a camera, and that's all I could say. I took a very relaxed tour.
The first place I started my tour was the Ateneo de Valencia. This Ateneo has been under renovation for over a year. It's a beautiful place where different cultural events are held throughout the year, in addition to hosting numerous cultural and educational groups. Then I headed to Plaza Bolívar in Valencia to buy some medicine and set out to take these photos. I noticed that the plaza had a lot of vegetation because the rainy season had started in my country and they were blooming very quickly. This square is located right in the center of Valencia. It's a place that took many years to renovate, almost an eternity, but the wait was worth it. Today, it's a place worth visiting. It has spectacular views and great works of art that I'll show you in more detail another time.

Continuing my tour and not going far, right across the street I came across the San Francisco Church, José Gregorio Hernández Sanctuary, located in Valencia. This site was recently elevated to the Archdiocesan Sanctuary of José Gregorio Hernández. This temple, the second oldest in Valencia after the Cathedral Basilica, houses the relic of Blessed José Gregorio Hernández, the "Doctor of the Poor." I'm surprised that the Capitol Building in Valencia covers an entire block, a very large structure with a spectacular infrastructure.
As you can see in the photo, the weather became very cloudy and a storm was brewing, so I quickened my pace and slowed down, bringing this photographic adventure to a close. #
On my final tour, I came across an Ipostel branch. I thought this branch had ceased to exist, but I didn't miss the opportunity to take some photos, surprised to find that despite all these years, it was still operating. It's located very close to Plaza Bolívar in an old colonial mansion in the state of Carabobo.

El primer lugar en el cual comencé mi recorrido, fue en el Ateneo de Valencia, este Ateneo tiene más de un año en remodelación, es un sitio muy hermoso, donde se realizan diferentes eventos culturales durante todo el año, además de albergar numerosas agrupaciones de índole culturales-educativas. Espero pronto poder traerles unas maravillosas fotos de su reinaguración y de los muchos eventos que tienen lugar en dicho espacio. Sin embargo, les dejo esta fotos como muestra de lo que está por venir:
Luego me dirigí hacia la Plaza Bolívar de Valencia a comprar los medicamentos y me dispuse a tomar estas fotos, me di cuenta que la plaza tenia mucha vegetación debido a que comenzó la época de lluvia en mi país y están floreciendo de una manera muy acelerada . Esta plaza queda en todo el Centro de Valencia, es un lugar que duró muchos años en remodelación, casi una eternidad, pero la espera valió la pena, hoy en día es un sitio que vale la pena visitar, tiene unas vistas espectaculares y grandes obras de arte que en otro momento les mostraré de manera más particular.
En el mismo espacio donde está la Plaza Bolívar se encuentran dos sitios de gran trascedencia cultural e histórica, una de ellas es el Centro de Artes Vivas Alexis Mujica CAVAM, un espacio cultural donde se llevan a cabo diversas expresiones artísticas del estado, ubicada al lado de la Curia de la Catedral de Valencia
Aqui tenemos la Curia de la Catedral de Valencia conocida como la Arquidiócesis de Valencia donde funciona el centro administrativo y religioso de la Iglesia Católica en la ciudad de Valencia. Un sitio de mucha paz y espiritualidad donde he tenido la oportunidad de estar y es un espacio maravilloso para despejar la mente. Al momento de tomar la fotografía estaban fuera de servicio, así que en una próxima oportunidad les mostraré sus magnifcas e inigualables instalaciones.
Al lado de la Curia, tenemos la Catedral de Valencia; imponente y hermosa, llamada también La Basílica Catedral de Nuestra Señora del Socorro : "constituye el recinto religioso más importante y uno de los puntos turísticos de mayor interés en la ciudad de Valencia, en Venezuela. Considerada Monumento Histórico Nacional, es la sede oficial para la veneración de la Virgen del Socorro" Si quieren mayor información les dejo el enlace
Esta catedral se encuentra justo al frente de La Plaza Bolívar de Valencia y es un sitio de gran complejidad estructural y una de las edificaciones más hermosas de nuestra ciudad y el lugar donde descansa la imagen de la Virgen del Socorro, cuya Coronación Canónica se realizó en 1910, y cuya fe y devoción es seguida por miles de fieles en todo en todo el territorio nacional.
Posteriormente me fui en busca de más sitios históricos y me encontré con la Plaza Sucre, hermoso lugar que queda a unas cuadras de La Plaza Bolívar, en comparación con ésta, es más pequeña, pero es muy conocida por tener muchos años de construida para el difrute de los transeúntes

Y además se encuentra en ella la reconocidad Escuela de Teatro Ramón Zapata, una inmensa residencia colonial de bella arquitectura, patrimonio cultural del estado Carabobo y el único sitio en la ciudad donde se imparten clases de teatro, tiene mas de 60 años en funcionamiento y de sus aulas han egresado numerosos artistas de talla internacional. Una verdadera joya de nuestra cultura.
No pude entrar a las instalaciones de la escuela de teatro pero encontré un papel con la información para ir en otro momento y ver alguna clase y por supuestro traerles la información.
Siguiendo mi recorrido y sin ir muy lejos, justo en la acera del frente me encontré con la Iglesia San Francisco Santuario José Gregorio Hernández ubicada en Valencia, hace muy poco este sitio se elevó a Santuario Arquidiocesano de José Gregorio Hernández. Este templo, el segundo más antiguo de Valencia después de la Basílica Catedral, alberga la reliquia del Beato José Gregorio Hernández, el "Médico de los Pobres". El santuario es un lugar de paz y encuentro para la devoción a este santo, y también cuenta con columbarios donde los restos de seres queridos pueden descansar cerca de las reliquias. enlace

Y por si fuera poco al lado de esta gran casa de estudio se encuentra el Teatro Municipal de Valencia, que este día estaba repleto de personas que hacían un trámite, me quedé con la interrogante de cual era el trámite, quería seguir visitando lugares, así que no se me ocurrió preguntar. Lo que no pude fue dejar de tomar fotos de tan imponente sitio
Unas estructuras maravillosas, que tienen muchos siglos y que se les ha dado el cuidado y valor que se merecen.
Seguí mi recorrido y pasé cerca de la Gobernación de Carabobo, ubicada dicha sede en el Capitolio del estado Carabobo, sitio hermoso y de una arquitectura esplendida

Me sorprende que toda una cuadra abarca el Capitolio de Valencia, muy grande y una insfraestructura espectacular.
Como podrán ver en la foto, el tiempo se puso muy nublado y avecinaba tempestad, así que apuré mi paso y alijeré la marcha, dando por concluida esta aventura fotográfica.
En mi recorrido final me encontré con una sede de Ipostel, pensé que ya había dejado de existir esta sede y no perdí la oportunidad de tomar unas fotos sorprendida que a pesar de los años todavía siguiera en funcionamiento, se encuentra ubicada muy cerca de la Plaza Bolívar en una antigua casona colonial del estado Carabobo.
Este ha sido todo mi recorrido chicos por algunos de los lugares más emblemáticos e históricos de Valencia, mi amada ciudad, espero les haya gustado, no soy una experta narrando espacios históricos, pero hago el intento.
