Población de Rio chico, Estado Miranda, en Venezuela
Hoy vengo a contarles de una de las experiencias más bonitas que he vivido en este 2025, se trata de un peregrinación que hicimos en día sábado junto a los feligreses de la Iglesia Nuestras Señora del valle en Guatire y otras comunidades católicas de la zona. La peregrinación tenía como destino la población de Rio Chico en Barlovento Estado Miranda.
Today I come to tell you about one of the most beautiful experiences I have lived in this 2025, it is a pilgrimage that we made on Saturday with the parishioners of the Church of Our Lady of the Valley in Guatire and other Catholic communities in the area. The destination of the pilgrimage was the town of Rio Chico in Barlovento, Miranda State.
Para los que no conocen esta linda localidad les cuento que Rio Chico es un pueblo pequeño al norte de Venezuela, está conectado con la costa mirandina, exactamente al lado de la ciudad turística de Higuerote.
Las principales actividades comerciales de sus habitantes son la pesca, la agricultura y el turismo. Sus principales playas son Caño Copei y Paparo. Hoy tristemente no les puedo mostrar fotos de la playas pero de seguro muy pronto les estaré contando sobre ese tema ya que quedé con muchas ganas de volver.
For those who do not know this beautiful town, I will tell you that Rio Chico is a small town in the north of Venezuela, it is connected to the Mirandina coast, exactly next to the tourist city of Higuerote.
The main commercial activities of its inhabitants are fishing, agriculture and tourism. Its main beaches are Caño Copei and Paparo. Today sadly I can't show you pictures of the beaches but for sure very soon I will be telling you about it since I really want to come back.
Es increíble como a veces nos pasa la vida y no nos damos cuenta de lo valioso de las cosas; hace muchos años cuando visitábamos con más recurrencia este pueblo jamás me fijaba en la riqueza de su historia, la cultura, la fachada antigua de sus casas o la atención bonita de sus habitantes, pero ahora que estoy más grande valoro todo lo que ofrece esta linda localidad. Podría decir tres características: cálida, humilde y gentil.
It is incredible how sometimes life happens to us and we do not realize how valuable things are; many years ago when we visited this town more frequently I never noticed the richness of its history, culture, the old facade of its houses or the beautiful attention of its inhabitants, but now that I am older I value everything that this beautiful town has to offer. I could say three characteristics: warm, humble and gentle.
El principal obtuvo por el que fuimos fue con motivo del Jubileo Santo declarado por el Papa Francisco en este 2025. Para los que aún no saben de qué trata los invito a asistir a sus parroquias y no perderse esta maravillosa oportunidad de ofrendar tu vida a Dios buscando la redención. Propicia es tambien la ocasión para invitarlos a reflexionar sobre lo que estamos haciendo con nuestras vidas, si realmente deseas salvarte busca el perdón de tus culpas y lleva una vida feliz, plena, dichosa del lado de Dios.
The main reason why we went there was because of the Holy Jubilee declared by Pope Francis in 2025. For those who still do not know what it is about I invite you to attend your parishes and do not miss this wonderful opportunity to offer your life to God seeking redemption. It is also a good opportunity to invite you to reflect on what we are doing with our lives, if you really want to be saved, seek forgiveness for your faults and lead a happy, fulfilled and joyful life on God's side.
Justo recién comenzó el tiempo de cuaresma, un tiempo de reconciliación contigo, con Dios, con el mundo. Este año Jubilar lleva por nombre “Peregrinos de la esperanza” y les digo amigos que más que un paseo es abrir las puertas para limpiar tu casa, tu corazón de esa basura que tenemos amontonada desde hace tiempo y así poder llevar una vida mejor.
Lent has just begun, a time of reconciliation with you, with God, with the world. This Jubilee year is called “Pilgrims of Hope” and I tell you friends that more than a walk is to open the doors to clean your house, your heart of that garbage that we have piled up for a long time and thus be able to lead a better life.
La esperanza no defrauda y siempre que tengamos esperanza podremos crear un mundo maravilloso para nosotros, nuestra familia y la sociedad que nos rodea.
Hope does not disappoint and as long as we have hope we can create a wonderful world for ourselves, our family and the society around us.
Este sábado nos organizamos con tiempo para visitar el Templo de Nuestra Señora de Las Mercedes, este templo junto con 5 más fueron seleccionado por el obispo de la Diócesis de Guarenas Tulio Ramírez para recibir a los peregrinos de esperanza que buscan la reconciliación con Dios.
This Saturday we organized ourselves with time to visit the Temple of Our Lady of Mercy, this temple along with 5 others were selected by the bishop of the Diocese of Guarenas Tulio Ramirez to receive the pilgrims of hope seeking reconciliation with God.
Salimos a las 7 de la mañana rumbo a Barlovento, allá nos recibieron con mucho afecto y organización y de inmediato comenzaron las actividades propias de este día. Primero caminamos por las calles del pueblo haciendo un Viacrucis. Luego llegamos a la iglesia y allí fue muy emotiva la apertura de la puerta santa por parte del Obispo. Al abrirse las puertas sentí una emocion muy grande porque del otro lado estaba la imagen de la virgen de las mercedes patrona de Rio Chico. Estaba hermosa la imagen, con lindas flores de todos colores.
We left at 7:00 a.m. for Barlovento, where we were received with much affection and organization and immediately began the activities of the day. First we walked through the streets of the town making a Stations of the Cross. Then we arrived at the church and there the opening of the holy door by the Bishop was very emotional. When the doors were opened I felt a great emotion because on the other side was the image of the Virgin of Mercy, patroness of Rio Chico. The image was beautiful, with beautiful flowers of all colors.
Fuimos entrando y nos recibieron los niños de la orquesta sinfónica de Venezuela, con encantadoras piezas musicales. Luego los sacerdotes asistentes celebraron la santa misa y todo el mundo estaba feliz.
We went inside and we were welcomed by the children of the Venezuelan symphony orchestra, with enchanting musical pieces. Then the priests celebrated the holy mass and everybody was happy.
Una de las cosas que más nos preocupaba era el calor, ya que la playa está realmente muy cerca, pero contrario a esto mientras realizábamos el viacrucis el cielo se cubrió con las nubes y mejor aun cuando todo el mundo estaba dentro de la iglesia comenzó a llover y eso refresco bastante el clima.
Cuando finalizó la misa el clima estaba perfecto, pudimos salir a tomar fotos, refrescarnos, vimos obras de teatro y la orquesto nos volvió a deleitar con temas típicos de Venezuela.
One of the things that worried us the most was the heat, since the beach is really very close, but on the contrary, while we were doing the Way of the Cross the sky was covered with clouds and even better when everyone was inside the church it started to rain and that refreshed the weather.
When the mass was over the weather was perfect, we could go out to take pictures, refresh ourselves, we saw plays and the orchestra delighted us again with typical Venezuelan songs.
Que más les puedo decir, en verdad fue una experiencia maravillosa, todo fue perfectos desde que amaneció el día y más maravilloso fue porque mi esposo me acompaño a la actividad y siento en mi corazón que realmente la vivió con profunda fe y devoción.
No tengo más sino agradecimiento con Dios, con la Virgen porque esos momentos son únicos en la vida.
What else can I say, it was truly a wonderful experience, everything was perfect since the day dawned and more wonderful was because my husband accompanied me to the activity and I feel in my heart that he really lived it with deep faith and devotion.
I have nothing else but gratitude to God, to the Virgin because those moments are unique in life.
Me quedo con cada uno de los momentos que nos hicieron pasar, me gustó el chocolate en la tienda “La Fogata” en verdad estaba muy delicioso, pero ¡aquí entre nos! ¡Que más le podemos pedir a la vida! Esta tierra es la mejor productora de cacao del mundo y no lo digo yo, lo dicen los expertos.
I keep each of the moments that we had, I liked the chocolate in the store “La Fogata” it was really delicious, but here among us! What more can we ask from life! This land is the best cocoa producer in the world and I am not saying it, the experts are saying it.
Como ven amigos, la pasaos muy bien y estas son cosas que me gustaria que más personas pudieran sentir. Si se puede, solo está en que tú te lo propongas.
As you can see, friends, you have a great time and these are things that I wish more people could feel. If you can do it, you just have to put your mind to it.
