I have so many questions! Why does it have white blood? What is the main component of those white blood cells, and how does it transport oxygen? Where's the mouth opening and where's the butt? (No, I'm not expecting you to have the answers. I'm just a curious sort.)

Oddly, while the scientist said he didn't know why it has those eye spots, it seems likely they're there for the same reasons thousands of other species have eye spots.

Mostly though, I'm looking forward to when ZeFrank discovers this species and does one of his videos about it. 😆

And while the video above explains how eye spots appear, it doesn't explain the most commonly accepted reason why they appear - self defense. Consider the size of the eye spots on a moth's wings as compared to the size of its actual eyes. The eye spots make it look much bigger than it actually is, so that it's less likely to get eaten.
