Well dunno about the lives but at least there would be no radiation and its effects.

They would have had time to get out of the house for the most part, napalm doesn't really explode as much as it just burns. Back then there weren't smoke detectors, so that would have been a problem. But Hiroshima still has some ten times the radioactivity above the normal background levels. Nukes are nasty business!
