Us All
It comes for Us all, no matter our past,
The Good, the Bad, and the Beautiful alike.
No stone left unturned, No darkness unlit,
Hide you may try, yet endless the sight.
A life loved, a million moments shared,
Smiles and Tears, both in sadness and for joy,
The cup was half-full until it was knocked,
And on the ground in a thousand pieces lay.
A life despised, every moment with pain,
No Family to love, No Friends to care,
The glass mostly empty and cupboards all bare,
No victory speech as the end appears.
Meaning may be more, but it is all meaningless,
The Bright and the Fools fall just the same.
We can Lift the Stones, and Light the Dark,
But never enough to escape our Fate.
