Howdy Freewriters🤗 It's a new day and I welcome you to my Freewrite blog..
No! No! I am not wearing a mask for decoration or to slay. Its the villain called the common cold. Can you imagine it waited for me to go about the whole holiday without it even visiting? I mean I enjoyed the break like it was the last one on this planet. Then just when it was time to go back to work, guess who visited? The common cold, or as they call it the mild cold. And it brought along the runny nose, yes I have to cover that tap with a mask now. Not to mention I have to counter it with the bitter ginger and lemon; naturopathic approach. I can say thank God, it didn't bother to bring the cough along, because I fear the rattling sound more than I fear the remedy.
Sometimes I get to wonder; why do mild illnesses wait until you're at the peak of having fun, and then boom - they show up to remind you of their existence. Or why do we have to counter them, like the common cold, with bitterness? I mean, I can still taste Tricohist - a medicine my mother used to give us as children to help with colds. Not to mention that after we outgrew Tricohist, our colds were treated with APC (or haraka as we called the tablet, which means fast or quick) and Piriton, which we had to chew before downing it with some water.
Thank you for reading😊.
