Amanda handed Junior the glass of juice he'd asked for. A few minutes later, Junior was back without the glass and with another demand, he wanted his mom's tablet and without skipping a beat, Amanda gave it to him. Amanda's mom couldn't take it any longer.
"Why do you always do that?" Amanda's mom asked.
Amanda was confused. "Do what, Ma?" she asked.
"That!" her mother almost shouted . I do not understand, Ma.
I have watched you since you came here Amanda, and frankly, I'm dissapointed in you. "Ma, what is this about?" Amanda asked distractively. I mean look at how you are raising Junior, Amanda. That's not how I raised you. And that, will not go on under my nose, Amanda.
"But that is the only way I can get anything done, Ma," Amanda replied defensively. "Otherwise, he'll start throwing tantrums," she added.
"No, Amanda, you're deflecting and this, this will come back to bite you if it is not rectified," Amanda's mom tried to reason. I don't care what goes on under your roof, Amanda, but here, he'll have to beg. He doesn't even know the magic words, Amanda. He thinks that everything is just there for his taking. Amanda, I raised you better than that.
