This is my entry to the Free Writers Daily Prompt.
Mrs. Egwim was called to give a student talk. After the clapping ovulation. She stood up and started having her talk on dependence.
Dependence might seem to be good, but it is not a good idea to also be. We as individuals, in one way or another, should always learn to live freely as a bird by God's grace.
We have people around us, but you see, carrying our whole mind and putting it on them is very, very wrong. When we are growing up, all hands should always be on deck to be productive towards growth in different aspects. Maybe we can want one person to help us with a specific thing, but putting everything on that person is not good. It might weigh both you and the person down. Inasmuch as we are so close to people, don't carry the whole burden and place it on the said individual at all times.
Together, by God's grace, we really can attain greater heights. When one contributes and another also chips in, we see things, by God's grace, moving higher and higher.
There is one thing my mom would always do each time she told me to suggest what we would cook, and I just said that she would say that I would concur to it. To her, say you also are an individual, so it is really an eye-opener that personally our suggestions still matter in one way or another towards the growth of everything in which we find ourselves doing at every point in time.
Dependence, both in mindset, action, and words, should always be avoided by us all. Let's try always to build confidence and work hard, and God will really grant us all success.
We keep hoping for the best. 🙏
