Yo tuve muchos alumnos y a pesar de sus limitaciones mentales a veces tenían soluciones brillantes a mi parecer. Hoy en día cuando veo en las redes sociales jóvenes con Síndrome de Down interactuando libremente y a pesar de sus limitaciones, simplemente me encanta, me hace entender que el ser humano evoluciona hasta los más especiales.

I remember a classmate who was always the clown, making us laugh and angering the teachers. Of course, there was always a teacher who smiled almost through his teeth because his jokes were good. But it wasn't until years later, during one of our many school reunions, that we discovered the number of problems he had at home. Smiling and making others laugh was what kept him going.
It's very hard not knowing these signs in order to help others, but we were just kids. It's like the classmate who seems stupid; there are many cases of great geniuses later discovered. And it's this locking themselves away in their minds and never stopping thinking that makes them unique and special.
I had many students, and despite their mental limitations, they sometimes had brilliant solutions, in my opinion. Today, when I see young people with Down syndrome interacting freely on social media despite their limitations, I simply love it. It makes me understand that human beings evolve, even the most special.
