Life has taught me many lessons and I have used to learn and unlearn the necessities therein. One thing that I am ready to let go of is those people who stood the ground for me when the chips were down.
I remember vividly how I was dealt a heavy blow by a burden I was trying to nurse because I was indebted to my boss. He enslaved me for many years and I had no other options than to stay and work and receive no wages.
Today, I am glad that some people could stay put and support me in those trying times. Those folks are referred to as my tribe. They are the friends that stick more than brothers. What more can I ask for?
Now, I am free. Free as a bird that broke away from the snare of the Fowler and my soul has found peace, courtesy of my beloved tribe.
