Everyone desires a beautiful relationship, a safe haven. But when fate serves you the opposite, what do you do?

Oh no, poor Laide. Imagine being in suh a situation, it's frustrating.
This is just life, one may not always get what they wish for.
I hope she finds a way out of the situation, or better still walk away. Like you said, one's general well-being is paramount and shouldn't be sacrificed for anything.

Great life story, very relatable.

That's a good point. Attending counseling session might help her get herself back and then be ready to take a decision.

It is not an easy decision. No one wants their child to be from a broken home. But if she stays there and isn't mentally at peace, and a home filled with arguments, isn't that more damaging not just for her but her kids too?

That's the point. Whether she leaves or stays, it'll affectthe children. But she needs to be strong for them, and that environment isn't the best place to achieve that, at the moment.
