Tobi's Poor Lifestyle Didn't Pay Off

in Freewriters3 days ago

Good day friends! I feel happy having the opportunity to share my writing on today's prompt with everyone.

Theme: winging it

Tobi is a young man who came from a rich family. He was always thinking anything could be achieved with money but didn't know that wasn't true at all. Tobi’s parents’ dream for the young man was to grow, become educated and manage the family's wealth as the only son and child of the family.

But this wasn't a complete dream for the parents because Tobi wasn't a “school-lover.” Tobi didn't like anything related to academics and was always performing so poorly in his exams. He was able to complete his primary and secondary education by grace and his parents’ ability to bribe some teachers to help him pass.

After his graduation from high school with bad grades, his parents, with their possible power and fame, influenced his admission into a private tertiary institution. This is where Tobi saw the real world.

Tobi was never attending classes and never prepared for any exams, he was always winging it. He realized he needed to buckle up after his results were published and his parents couldn't influence the private institution with a good reputation of zero support for “academic politics” and exam malpractice.

Tobi learnt his lessons when he was asked to buckle up or drop his course of study for another which was contrary to his parents’ desires for him.

This remains my entry for the daily prompt in the freewriters community.
