Getting one's point across in a long overdue conversation for a hostile situation doesn't take much sometimes. Delivery of the message may be all that is needed. And sometimes, the educational level of the parties involved aren't necessary.
I share a flash fiction story with you along that vein for this week's ZAPFIC50 Friday challenge. This new challenge by @felt-buzz presented the opportunity to explore the prompt "shorts".
My story is below:
Arthur had never heard his mother address his father harshly.
Several succinct words bombarded him that packed powerful punches.
Ones Dad understood.
Dad retreated slowly, turned, and left. Never to return.
That was the day Arthur, his mother, and siblings exhaled.
That was the day light shone in their home.

A veces, no hace falta mucho para expresar lo que uno quiere decir en una conversación largamente pospuesta en una situación hostil. Puede que lo único que se necesite sea transmitir el mensaje. Y, en ocasiones, el nivel educativo de las partes implicadas no es relevante.
Comparto con ustedes un relato breve de ficción en esa línea para el desafío ZAPFIC50 Friday de esta semana. Este nuevo desafío de @felt-buzz me brindó la oportunidad de explorar el tema «shorts» (pantalones cortos).
A continuación mi historia.
Las palabras largas o las conversaciones extensas no siempre son necesarias.
Arthur nunca había oído a su madre dirigirse a su padre con dureza.
Varias palabras concisas le bombardearon con golpes poderosos.
Palabras que papá entendió.
Papá se retiró lentamente, se dio la vuelta y se marchó. Para no volver jamás.
