A champion in my opinion is a person who exemplifies extraordinary accomplishments in the eyes of society. No matter the deed, the person also has to display a life willingness to do the right thing. But not only display it, that person has to actually follow through on their commitment by daily deeds that align with their words.
Holding one's self out as a leader is done with integrity that exposes the inner self as worthy. I share a flash fiction story along that thought for the prompt "champion" for the ZAPFIC50 Monday challenge. This challenge was created by @felt-buzz.
My story is below:
In the country's eyes, Delores was a champion. Spokesperson for the voiceless. "I write my own speeches and paint about social injustice.," she boasted at the award ceremony.
Her spouse of 25 years sat staring into the abyss.
His untimely and suspicious death a year later uncovered Delores's academic deceit.

En mi opinión, un campeón es una persona que ejemplifica logros extraordinarios a los ojos de la sociedad. Independientemente del hecho, la persona también tiene que mostrar una voluntad de por vida de hacer lo correcto. Pero no sólo tiene que demostrarlo, sino que tiene que cumplir su compromiso con hechos diarios que concuerden con sus palabras.
