Hay cosas que simplemente van en lo que puede ser cada uno de nosotros y es algo que para mí de cierta manera nos puede definir en cierto sentido lo que nos gusta o lo que hacemos en tiempos libres e inclusive algunas veces hasta de lo que trabajamos, pero bueno ya ese último caso es una especie de unicornio de dedicarse a ser lo que realmente le gusta a alguien, pues no siempre está esa libertad disponible.
Y es que al menos en mi caso, desde niño he sido una persona que le gusta desarmar todo, y al menos antes de “botar” algo, prefiero echarle un vistazo, ver su funcionamiento y si tiene o no solución, para ver si está dentro de mis capacidades hacerle la reparación o si es factible alguna adaptación, o su reparación en manos de alguien más que sea especializado del tema, pues algunas veces hay cosas que simplemente pues, son sencillas y no llevan una complejidad tan alta como parece.
Por lo que a lo largo de todo este tiempo he tenido la posibilidad de “desarmar” más de una cosa, y lo que me ha llevado a que con el tiempo tenga algo de conocimiento de diversas herramientas, cosas, y pueda hacer alguna reparación ya sabiendo como trabajan o funcionan ciertos sistemas, porque al final todo tiene una lógica y si uno consigue hacerle o bien el sentido o la “ingeniería inversa”, pues lo tiene resuelto.
Gracias a esto, muchos amigos y conocidos, se acuerdan de esta “habilidad” y prefieren darme cosas a ver si tienen solución o no, algo que realmente no me molesta, pues la verdad este tipo de retos me hacen explorar un poco en mis conocimientos y en la parte mecánica/eléctrica que tiene lo suyo y es interesante de ver y hacer, pues al final, como muchos me dicen, para eso eres ingeniero jajaja.
Y es que, si no fuera por esa curiosidad extrema, y esas ganas de querer o saber sobre las cosas, pues no habría hecho tantas cosas como si que hice en un pasado y hago de vez en cuando, y al menos siempre que puedo busco motivar a otros grandes y pequeños a que hagan lo posible en aprender de este “arte”, que la verdad facilita muchas veces algunas cosas del día a día.
Algo que siempre he querido hacer por ejemplo hablando más de mecánica es un motor y una transmisión desde cero, pero es mucho dinero que bueno fuera de ciertas herramientas en específico, que no poseo, pues un espacio adecuado y obviamente ese par de “piezas” que no necesariamente son económicas de conseguir, pero sé que algún día lo haré y podre decir que en la parte “mecánica” cumplí con lo que más quería.
Por otro lado, algo eléctrico que siempre me ha interesado es todas esas máquinas de antaño, que era impresionante ver como con solo algunos sistemas básicos podían hacer funciones complejas y que aun a día de hoy algunas se mantienen, para ejemplo de ellas una “máquina tragamonedas”, algo que en mi país es realmente difícil de tener en casa, por el tema de las licencias y demás, pero que sería todo un lujo poder desmantelar una de esas y trastear con ellas.

There are things that simply go in what each of us can be and it is something that for me in a certain way can define us in a sense what we like or what we do in free time and even sometimes even what we work, but well that last case is a kind of unicorn of dedicating oneself to be what someone really likes, because that freedom is not always available.
And at least in my case, since childhood I have been a person who likes to disassemble everything, and at least before “throwing away” something, I prefer to take a look at it, see how it works and if it has a solution or not, to see if it is within my capabilities to make the repair or if it is feasible some adaptation, or repair in the hands of someone else who is specialized in the subject, because sometimes there are things that simply are simple and do not carry a complexity as high as it seems.
So throughout all this time I have had the opportunity to “disassemble” more than one thing, and what has led me to have some knowledge of various tools, things, and can make some repair and knowing how they work or work certain systems, because in the end everything has a logic and if one manages to make sense or “reverse engineering”, then it is solved.
Thanks to this, many friends and acquaintances, remember this “skill” and prefer to give me things to see if they have a solution or not, something that really does not bother me, because the truth is that this kind of challenges make me explore a little in my knowledge and in the mechanical / electrical part that has its own and is interesting to see and do, because in the end, as many tell me, that's why you are an engineer hahaha.
And if it were not for that extreme curiosity, and that desire to want or know about things, I would not have done as many things as I did in the past and I do from time to time, and at least whenever I can I try to motivate others big and small to do their best to learn this “art”, which really facilitates many times some things of the day to day.
Something I have always wanted to do for example speaking more of mechanics is an engine and a transmission from scratch, but it is a lot of money that well outside of certain specific tools, which I do not have, well a suitable space and obviously that pair of “pieces” that are not necessarily cheap to get, but I know that someday I will do it and I can say that in the “mechanical” part I fulfilled what I wanted most.
On the other hand, something electrical that has always interested me is all those machines of yesteryear, it was impressive to see how with only a few basic systems could make complex functions and that even today some are maintained, for example a “slot machine”, something that in my country is really difficult to have at home, because of the issue of licenses and others, but it would be a luxury to dismantle one of those and tinker with them.
