The day the people have been waiting for is finally here. The general finally had no more authority over the people in the region he once controlled.
5 years ago, the general took the region by force due to the weakened government and had been ruling the place in using a military style. The people in the region didn't like it but could do nothing as they were powerless against a man that control a big army.
However, just last year, a new leader emerged from the previous weakened government and started finding opportunities to rebuild themselves and overthrow the authority of the general. It took them a good year of planning and gathering an army of their own. And when the opportunity came, they took control of the region and restart a government that was making decisions through democracy and not military style.
