Lisa was promoted to a manager since the end of last year but she realize she still wasn't able to lead her team properly. There is somehow little influence from her on how her team performed. This become something that she wants to work on as she knows deep down, the current level that her team is performing at is nowhere near their true capability.
She seek out her mentor whom had been guiding her throughout her growing years and tried to understand from her on how to enlarge her influence in her team. Lisa described the profile of her team to her mentor and then diagnose together if there was a stronger influence within the team which silenced her influence. And indeed they manage to profile an individual whom had more influence within the team and targeted to get this guy on their side so that the influence can go through him into the team. Lisa thanked her mentor and started working closely with this individual and slowly gained her influence indirectly after getting his buy in.
