What do we want to achieve at work? To make ends meet? To fulfil personal ego?
I've known of many whom want to be the centre of admiration. They work to make people agree with them, often going the extra mile to let people see what they are doing.
They want the visibility and they want people know them. And when it is time for calibration, they will have additional attributes for their supervisors to vouch for them. These people upon reaching what they want, will transform into another kind of person. And these are typical people whom desire to climb the ladder.
But there are those whom truly deserve admiration as compared to the earlier one that I've mentioned. They are kind by nature and radiates from the inside. They will become the tribal chief from the bottom but not exactly well liked by the management as these people can really cause influence from the ground to oppose decisions. If only management are able to know how to manage these people, they would be a much great force to help the organization than those whom truly just want to climb.
