The police were hot on his tail, tracking him down within seconds. Dapo attempted to escape, but the officers, familiar with his tactics, adapted their strategy. They decided that the teams should split in two, making it harder for Dapo to slip away. The game of hide and seek began, with Dapo using every trick in the book to evade capture.
After thirty minutes of intense pursuit, Dapo's luck finally ran out. He was caught and taken into custody, brought to justice at last. The phrase "ninety-nine days for the thief, and one day for the owner" proved true, as Dapo's reign of evasion came to an end. He would now face the consequences of his actions, a testament to the law's persistence.
